The Krsna consciousness movement is gradually spreading all over the world, but it is a little difficult to understand the purport of this movement because it is completely on the spiritual platform. Generally, people do not understand what the spiritual platform is.
Ladies and gentlemen: Please accept my greetings for the happy new year of 1969. and please accept the blessings of Sri Krsna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, for your kindly participating in this happy meeting of Krsna consciousness.
God is there. Anyone can go back to Him and live an eternal life full of bliss and knowledge simply by knowing about it. When God Himself comes, all great acaryas, stalwart men, accept Him: “Yes, He is God.” If we simply understand God, we make a solution to all our problems.
We must invite Krsna back as the central object of all our senses. He is as available to us today as He was when He wandered at will in the Vrndavana forest, charming all beings. We need only chant His holy names.
If hundreds of thousands of suns were to rise into the sky at once, their effulgence might resemble that of the Lord in His universal form. That wondrous form possessed unlimited mouths, unlimited eyes, unlimited faces, legs, and arms.
ISKCON Television shot a video of Lord Rama’s pastimes. Under the direction of Nrsimhananda dasa ITV staged an all-devotee Ramayana at the Hare Krsna movement’s New Vrindaban farm community in West Virginia.
Our program is to worship Govinda, the original person, with love and devotion. This is Krsna consciousness. We are teaching people to love Krsna. That’s all.
“Time I am, destroyer of worlds.” These were Lord Krsna’s words to His personal friend and devotee Arjuna, who had been filled with awe upon seeing the Lord’s visva-rupa, His all-powerful universal form.
The spiritual love epitomized in the meeting of Radha and Krishna resembles the attraction between a young man and a young woman, it is generally misunderstood by those who try to fathom it without reference to the Vedic sastra or revealed scriptures.
The material world appears like a cloud covering a small portion of the spiritual sky. The Vedic scriptures explain that although the material world undergoes perpetual creation and annihilation, the spiritual world is eternally manifest.
The Vedic literatures give information about what the living entity’s eternal relationship with Lord Krsna is, how the living entity can revive this relationship and act accordingly, and how he will live when he has returned home, back to Godhead—which is the ultimate goal of life.
Seeing Krishna in the coils of the serpent Kaliya, Krishna’s friends the cowherd boys and the other residents of Vrndavana were stunned with fear. When they saw Him overpowered by the coils of the serpent Kaliya, they fell to the ground.
Krishna, the original person, is no less a person than we are. Most religions teach us to respect God as the almighty father. But we overlook His true greatness and power if we ignore He can relate to His devotees in loving relationships.
Krishna urged His father to concentrate on the activities of Vrndavana. Indra, He said, was simply bound to deliver water; he even pours rain on the ocean, where no one worships him.
Though the spiritual world is the abode of the highest pleasure, hardly anyone wants to go there. We say we’d like to go, and we may think we are going, but our actions speak differently.
The night was very dark, but as soon as Vasudeva took Krsna and went out, as a result of Krsna’s glaring effulgence he could see everything, just as in the sunlight.
We try to imitate Krishna’s enjoyment. Boys and girls mix with each other and dance together. The same activities are there in Krishna’s pastimes. Krishna is dancing with the gopis in the forest, and you are dancing with your girlfriend in the nightclub.
